The power of Six

I started the book "The Power of Six" and the introduction of a new character has already occurred. This probably foreshadows the introduction of many new Lorien and maybe the tenth secret Lorien. The new character is number 7, she so far has developed 2 legacies, one to see in the dark because of a cave she would always visit to paint in secret. The other to breath under water because she was about to drown to death from a bully at the monastery that pushed her off a dock into water.

We receive a lot of background knowledge of 7's cepan, Angelina, and why they ended up in a monastery. Angelina and 7 were starving when the monastery housed and fed them. Angelina forbid to ever even think about Lorien and only to praise God. 7 meets a new friend and weird things start to occur as 7 hunts for the location of 4, who is all over the news.

The Power of Six

Because I finished the book "I am Number 4" by Pittacus Lore, I am wanting to start the next book in the series "The Power of Six" with the ending of "I am Number 4" having Henri die, I believe the title "The Power of Six" foreshadows that Six will either have to take on many new challenges or continue with 4's training, because of Henri not being able to do it. I also believe the introduction of more Loriens will occur in this book because of the willingness of 4 and 6 to fight and take a stand against the Mogs.

It was revealed that the remaining Lorien were to take the place of the previous elders, meaning that they would be stronger and more powerful than all the other Lorien. I am excited to see how Pittacus Lore is going to develop the characters with the introduction of this new idea. I also find it humorous how Pittacus Lore, the author, makes himself the most powerful elder of all time, and I believe that Four is going to take his place as elder.

I am Number Four

I finished the book "I am Number Four" this week. While there was a lot of action and conflict I hated the fact that the author decided to have Henri die. Although Henri died, the final battle, or ending of the book, was very well thought out with the introduction of Number Six and her abilities to fight. Also the surprise of Bernie Kosar being able to change forms of animals finally rid the suspense of what was so special about him. I thought at least the author didn't let Bernie die or else I might not want to read the next book.

Four, after defeating the Mogs at the school with Six, losing Henri, now has to leave Sarah as well. This for sure is foreshadowing the fact that Sarah is in danger and something is going to happen to her. Four and Six know, however, that they have to move on and meet with the other 6, maybe 7 with the vision of a baby on an alternate ship, and train to finally start fighting back and hopefully return to Lorien and awake the planet from hibernation. I do feel that even though Sam is human, his dad's involvement with the Lorien may have some foreshadow to an important role played by Sam.

This week I have read about another 100 pages of the book "I am Number Four" the main character, Four, decided he didn't want to hide anymore and he thought he could defend himself  from the dangers of the Mogs. He did things to make himself stand out, without caring of what could happen. His girlfriend, Sarah, was inside a house trapped from fire after a party, and Four having developed new legacies including fire resistance, ran through house and saved her.

The Mogs made a post on the internet about the incident at the burning house, already sure of his number 4. Four was trying to contact Henri but he was already on the way. Then Henri arrived and the Mogs were already surrounding the building. All the students left except Henri, Four, Sarah, and Four's past bully Mark. The Mogs were for sure going to kill Four now, since they have started intruding the building, when mystically they all started dying. Then appeared a Girl about his age. Four was confused at first, but she introduced herself as Number Six. She had the invisibility legacy.
