The Power Of Six

7 has made good friends with 10 and now both of the characters know the Mogs have found them. In order to defend themselves they need some help, so they decide to leave the monastery. The Mogs know of the plan to run made by Angelina (She snapped out of her religion is more important then Lorien phase), 10, and 7. 10 and 7 are cut off by the now revealed Mogs and the Mog soldiers have arrived, 10 and 7 then run to the beach because 10 has a chimera with her and the chimera fights back against the Mogs.

10's chimera dies fighting, 7 and 10 seem hopeless when they notice the Mogs getting killed by something they can not see, this really excited me because I knew that it was 6 and 6 always kicks butt when she fights. 6 reveals herself to 7 and 10 and a new hope is made. 6 and 7 then begin fighting and they win the fight against the Mogs, 7's plan was to go to America and meet up with 4 but news of a Vishnu who can perform magic in India is released, 7, 10, and 6 think it is another Lorien and begin on a trek to meet Vishnu instead.

A Long Way Gone

A Long Way Gone by Ishmael Beah

Not everyone in the world outside is not as fortunate as the people living in America. We have laws to prevent terrible things that are the norm of other countries. As Americans we never stop to think about a child in another country hooked on terrible drugs and killing for a living. A child that fights in a war and has killed many with the memories of blood and the sounds of gunshots filling his brain. A boy that doesn't "live" just does; because the drugs make him too numb.

New York Times states that children are most susceptible to being drafted to fight, because they are "easily manipulated, intensely loyal, fearless and, most important, in endless supply" Children are fighting wars at the same time of me writing a blog. "300,000 child soldiers" actually. Children's defense states approximately 2,715,000 children live in Ohio, which mean 1 out of every 10 kids under 18 in Ohio would become soldiers as an example of how many child soldiers exist.
